It gives me great pleasure as a founder principal to reach out to you through this web site on behalf of Sakhaat H. Memorial Nursing College. The college is established in 2016. Welcome to our website. It provides information of all our courses and all the latest news and activities of SHMNC. I hope you enjoying using the website and that you find it useful Unemployment is a great Problem in Bangladesh. Every year thousands of students are coming out through higher education as well as university. But the Government is usually still did not meet the job requirement for this large population. Nearly one-third of Bangladeshi youths are either unemployed or underemployed, leaving a large chunk of potential labor of the developing country unutilized or underutilized. The situation is worse in the case of female youths having a higher rate of unemployment than their male counterparts, in spite of their educational achievement.
Nursing could easily be one of the prosperous professions. In our country there is still shortage of nurses both in public and private health sectors. According to the Health Bulletin 2014, the country has one physician for every 0.4 nurses where the international standard of doctor, nurse ratio is 1:3. There are total of 35,570 nurses registered is in the country and every year a total of 3,280 students get chance in BSC and diploma nursing courses.
This is probably the only profession where worldwide shortage has been continuing for decades. In U.S.A, U.K and Canada, storage of qualified nurses has turned so heightened that researchers are foreseeing disastrous consequences in their health services. The aforesaid countries meanwhile have taken some measures that can enhance enrolment in nursing education to a desired level.

Nursing is a challenging, rewarding and a very exciting career that can lead to daily opportunities to make a difference in others. It is a profession within the health care
sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life.

I strongly believe that the nursing students are responsible and accountable for quality nursing practice, they are as advocates for the rights of their patients and are frequently involved in ethical issues and ethical decision-making processes, and thus they need to be appropriately trained, oriented and directly supervised by qualified and experienced faculty. Highly qualified faculty and infrastructure helps the students in meeting the challenging requirements today.

I request to all for enrolment in nursing education to take this opportunity and explore the facilities. So that they can compete anywhere in the world job market and serve their profession with utmost efficiency.

I wholeheartedly recommend the website to you and invite you to gives us your views and comments. I extend my very best wishes to you all.

Thank you,

Principal,
Sakhaat H. Memorial Nursing College,
Hatikumrul, Sirajgonj.
