- Admission Requirement – The applicant should have Diploma in Nursing from the Bangladesh Nursing council, Bangladesh.
- Admission procedure: Admission procedures shall be formulated and connected by the performed authority as laid down in the curriculum.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course & Curriculum:
- B. Sc. in Nursing (Post Basic) course will be of 02 (two) years duration.
- Degree awarded B.Sc. in Nursing (Post Basic) course will be of 02 (two) years duration.
- Academic year will start from June in each year.
- There will be year final examination at the end of each year under the University of Dhaka and a midterm examination will be conducted internally within 15th of January in each academic year by the individual college.
- Examination of June should be taken as regular.
Total marks in each year during B.Sc. in Nursing (post basic) course
- First year final 1300 marks
- Second year final 1300 marks

Marks and pattern of questions:
Formative assessment: 10 Marks is allocated for formative assessment of each paper, when total marks of written exam are of either 70 or 100 or 150.
10 marks of formative assessment will be divided as follows:
Class attendance = 2%
Class examination = 4%
Incourse assignment = 4%

Multiple choice question (MCQ):
- i) 10 Marks is allocated for 10 MCQ, when total marks of written exam are 70 or 80; and 20 Marks is allocated for 20 MCQ, when total marks of written exam are 100 or 150.
- ii) There will be separate answer script for MCQ examination.
iii) Time allocation: one minute for each question.
Short answer question (SAQ): Rest of the marks of the written examination is allocated for SAQ for each paper.
- Marks distribution for oral and practical examinations will be equal.
- Final examination for each course are conducted by the University at the end of each academic year. The oral and practical examination are taken after the final written examination.
- Pass mark: 60% marks in each subject individually in written, oral and practical/clinical examinations.
- An honors mark is awarded when students achieve 85% or more marks in a single subject.
- Re-examinee students are entitled to receive a grade of such course(s) no greater than 75% mark.
